Name:Abe Sapien
Location:New Jersey, United States of America
Abe Sapien

Abe Sapien is part fish, part man. With no memory of his origins, he was found in a tank with the date of Abraham Lincoln's assassination, hence the name he was given, and was brought to the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense for testing. He was then recruited by the B.P.R.D., and works closely with Hellboy and Liz Sherman to control and eradicate malicious paranormal entities. You've heard of things that go bump in the night? Well, the B.P.R.D. are the ones who bump back.

Abe is an empath -- he can read your mind (with consent!) and tune in to your deepest emotions, most effectively through touch. If he touches an object, he can sense all life and activity connected to it by association. He's also an expert on the occult, and if he doesn't already know about the creature/demon/entity at hand, he'll consult his extensive library to find out what's what.

He's tall, slender, soft-spoken, gentle by nature, and highly intelligent. If he has to spend an extended length of time out of water, he needs a breathing apparatus to provide water to his gills, but can go for 20 to 30 minutes without it. His skin is blue and surprisingly warm to the touch, his fingers are webbed, and he likes snacking on rotten eggs. Yummy.

Note to other characters: Be aware that every handshake will result in a little inadvertent mind-reading.

Abe Sapien is from Hellboy, and is the property of Mike Mignola and Sony Pictures. He appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing in [community profile] milliways_bar, from which no profit whatsoever is being made.
